Today’s Calendar
ALL DAY — AI+Education Summit 2026
Location: ANKO, Shriram Hall II, 485 Lausen Mall, Stanford Schedule:
- 8:00-9:00 AM: Registration (bring QR code from Eventbrite)
- 9:00 AM - 12:05 PM: Morning Sessions
- 12:10 - 1:15 PM: Lunch
- 1:15 - 5:30 PM: Afternoon Sessions
- 5:30 - 6:30 PM: Reception Context: SAL + HAI joint event. This is the big one — researchers, educators, leaders exploring AI in education. Directly supports Goal 2 (strategic influence in AI+Education). Great opportunity for networking, identifying potential Flash Lab/Build-a-Bot collaborators, and spotting trends. Prep: QR code on phone. Business casual. Stanford Visitor wifi (no password). Walk from the Oval — no vehicle access to building.
6:00 PM — CAP Check-in with Jonathan (recurring weekly)
Notes: Tight timing — Summit reception ends 6:30 but flight is at 7:05. May need to skip or do a quick phone call from the road.
7:05 PM — Southwest 1642: SJC → ONT
Confirmation: BQY755 Arrives: 8:20 PM Ontario Notes: Need to leave Summit by ~5:30 PM to get to SJC with buffer. Reception overlaps — attend briefly or skip.
Calendar Cleanup Needed
- Dentist (Tiffany) at 8am — STALE. Was rescheduled to April 15. Delete or move this calendar event.
- Meet with Dave at noon — STALE? Yesterday said this was rescheduled but no new time. If Dave responded, check texts. Otherwise delete this event.
Email Action Items
Needs Response
- Gregory Wilson II (Tue 6:45 PM) — “Tinkery Toolkit”: Follow-up from yesterday’s Flash Lab/Tinkery meeting. He shared a first draft of the Tinkery toolkit and wants feedback, especially on visual design. Asks: should it be a document or a website like designkit.stanford.edu? This is a great collaboration opportunity — directly connects to your format design and system design strengths.
FYI (positive signal)
- Kristen Pilner Blair — Responded “Ooh. This is great!” to Josh’s forward of the Legal 101 invite. Josh forwarded to Keith Bowen, Sarahi Espinoza Salamanca, and Kristen — inviting their cohorts too. Broader reach achieved.
- Tamar Perez — Quick “nice to meet you” exchange from Teaching w/ AI event yesterday. She’ll be in touch. New connection: RAG Custom GPTs topic.
- Alissa Anderson — List serv tip: “sal-initiatives-staff” isn’t far-reaching; use “sal-all-staff” for broadest reach, or “sal-all-members” for staff+faculty. Good to know for future announcements.
- Joe Sherman — Declined Legal 101 calendar invite. Not the target audience, no concern.
- AI+Education Summit “Know Before You Go” — Logistics reminder (covered above).
Newsletters (skip)
- TLDR AI, AINews, Turing Post, Hechinger Report, Art of Saience — scan if time permits on flight home.
Reminders
Upcoming
- Jonathan’s DMV driver test — March 3 at 8am (need to sign him up)
- Dentist appointment — April 15 at 8am (rescheduled, reminder set)

INBOX.md was empty — nothing to process.
Today’s Priorities
- AI+Education Summit (all day) — be present, network, take notes on trends/speakers. Look for Flash Lab, Build-a-Bot, or prototype sprint collaborators. This is your Goal 2 showcase day.
- Post Legal 101 to Slack — do this during morning registration or a break. Quick task, high visibility.
- Text Dave — reschedule suggestion (Friday breakfast?)
- Reply to Gregory Wilson re: Tinkery Toolkit — can be brief, acknowledge receipt, offer to dig in later this week
- Logistics: Check out of hotel, leave Summit by ~5:30 PM, get to SJC for 7:05 flight
- On the flight: Start quarterly goals prep for Thursday 1:1, scan newsletters
