Action items:

  • Develop scaling framework for smaller institutions — Create guidance on how the train the trainer model can be adapted for smaller school deployments like Kamehameha, which may not have resources for full-scale implementations.
  • Clarify Kamehameha Schools budget parameters with Greg — Follow up with Greg to understand exact budget constraints and whether there are creative approaches to provide more comprehensive support within fiscal limitations.
  • Schedule Crystal to review Claude for Teachers — When Crystal returns from summer activities, sign up with her school account to evaluate Claude for Teachers offerings and identify applicable elements for team’s curriculum.
  • Plan and execute live train the trainer pilots — Design schedule for running train the trainer program live 2-3 times with feedback loops to optimize structure, pacing, and content before creating any templated versions.
  • Create AI Day nutrition label framework diagram — Develop visual representation showing spectrum of AI tools (easy to complex) with dimensions: security, time investment, time savings, and quality-of-life impact. Include voiceover or presenter notes explaining the framework.
  • Pressure test framework at AI Day workshop — Present the quality-of-life dimension framework during AI Day and gather feedback from educators on whether it resonates and changes their problem-selection priorities.
  • Integrate quality-of-life evaluation into workshop problem-identification phase — Modify problem identification exercises to include joy/quality-of-life assessments alongside efficiency gains. Build on approach of pre-populating problem spaces to help participants focus on high-impact opportunities.
