Session Notes

Josh 1:1 (10am)

  • Presented seed grant lifecycle framework — Josh engaged well
  • Key framing from Josh: think about audience (existing + future 12-24 months) and packaging (bundled cohort track vs. a la carte)
  • No more “super cohorts” going forward
  • Established three metrics: Playbook, Reach, Revenue
  • ISTE = test bed for capacity building model — “trusted partner that understands we’re in late stages that might scale”
  • “What’s your model?” — need to be ready for that conversation in any room
  • Exercise: “5 most likely questions at 6/12/18 months”
  • Revenue model testing should be a goal
  • SMART goals through May — draft by early next week
  • Full notes in meetings/josh-1on1s.md

Market Research Complete

  • Synthesized research on 9 comparable orgs into reference/market-research-comparable-orgs.md
  • Most relevant models: PBLWorks (National Faculty), Lastinger (3-year sustainability), ISTE (certification-through-cohorts), Challenge Success (Stanford peer)

CRAFT Meeting (2pm)

  • Shane update: built a board with switches, 15 random scenarios, worked well for 3 days
  • Protein synthesis lab demo: Unity + OpenAI, customized conversation, affirm/identify/redirect pattern
  • Upcoming RCT: May 5, Sonoma, 66 kids
  • Offered Xcode fix for device orientation + offered Micah for testing
  • Notes in meetings/running-notes.md

Deferred

  • Trip receipts (still overdue — 4th day carrying this)
  • Email triage (Josh re: AI Dev Day, Sam, Bryan Brown, John Wesly Baker)
  • CRM re-engagement emails
  • Gregory Wilson reply
  • Check Shelly (LDT)
  • Schedule chiro (4 days overdue)

Decisions Made

  • Three metrics framework for model: Playbook, Reach, Revenue
  • ISTE partnership = test bed for capacity building model
  • Audience broader than seed grantees: also LDC, Create+AI
  • Two packaging modes: bundled cohort + a la carte

Tomorrow: Friday, February 20 — OFF (Snowboarding)

No work events. Jonathan driving at 9am, snowboarding at 11am.

Next work day: Monday, February 23

  • tEquity Seed Grant Launch (9-11am, Shriram III — remote FYI)
