Key Prep Items

LAUSD Foundation (Thu 3/19 3pm) — HIGHEST PRIORITY

What this is: Isabelle invited Reuben. “LAUSD might want to do something with Flash Lab.” This is a district-level opportunity — LAUSD is the second-largest school district in the US.

Attendees:

  • Sadie Jefferson — LAUSD Foundation (sadie@lausdedfoundation.org)
  • Larry Corio — ASU (lcorio@asu.edu) — unclear role, possibly ASU partnership angle
  • Dominic Caguioa — LAUSD (dbc4785@lausd.net)
  • Isabelle Hau — SAL Executive Director
  • Josh Weiss — Director, Accelerator Studio

Prep needed (do Mon-Wed):

  • Research LAUSD Foundation — who are they, what PD do they fund?
  • Research Larry Corio / ASU connection — what’s the relationship?
  • Prepare Flash Lab offering for district context (use Three Personas framework from special sauce doc)
  • Pull pricing context: $7,500/day ISTE CLS rate, $5K baseline from market research
  • This maps to Goal 2 (strategic influence) + Goal 3 (scaling)
  • Create prep file: prep/2026-03-19-lausd-foundation.md

Health Coach Bot Regroup (Wed 3/18 9am)

What this is: Follow-up from Mar 3 meeting. Priya Talreja now in the loop.

Open action items from Mar 3:

  • Build Prompt Lab (not started)
  • Confirm data storage location (Firebase?)
  • Add motivational content + 93 behavior change techniques
  • Make “About Me” section clearer
  • Add RAG links for chosen blocks
  • Explore data export + anonymized summary reports
  • Build-a-Bot save bug (blocks not persisting)
  • Waiting: Marily/Michele to send articles

What to bring: Status update on action items. Frame what BaB validation looks like for this study (from Mar 10 AS:DE discussion — “what does Reuben want to see happen that evaluates the value of BaB?”).

AI Comic Studio Log Data (Wed 3/18 2pm)

What this is: Meeting with Cathy Chase and Marisol Liu about AI Comic Studio log data.

Before the meeting:

  • Export AI Comic Studio data from February (action item from Mar 13 Slack)
  • Review LabGPT condition bleed status — Cathy may ask about this too

Josh 1:1 (Thu 3/19 10am)

Agenda:

  1. Special sauce article reflection — prep file done (prep/2026-03-19-flash-lab-special-sauce.md). Key insight: vibecoding is tool-centered, Flash Lab is human-centered. “Vibecoding is phase 2 of Flash Lab.” Test this framing with Josh.
  2. Tag analysis plan — need to write up 3-month rollout. AI-analyze Airtable, manual review, confident data by July. Josh wants slow and steady.
  3. OTL update — WSA path confirmed, Brooke following up with Geoff Cox + YouCubed. Next: develop proprietary TTT materials.
  4. LAUSD Foundation — same-day meeting at 3pm. Quick alignment on posture/positioning.
  5. CRM survey questions — draft status (not yet written). Josh waiting for async review.
  6. Airtable — March entries needed before end-of-month meeting.

CRAFT Team Meeting (Thu 3/19 2pm)

  • Check craft-general Slack channel morning-of for agenda/context
  • Christine Bywater organizing. Victor Lee, Preetha Menon, Victoria Delaney, Joba Adisa, Bernardo Silveira attending.
  • Christine is in Germany (went Mar 8) — may or may not be back

SAL All-Hands (Tue 3/17 10am)

  • Isabelle hosting. ANKO Building, Shriram III. Zoom option.
  • 100+ attendees — all of SAL. Bagels in-person.
  • Notable attendees: Gregory Wilson II (Tinkery), Chris Agnew (ISTE research articles contact), Candace Thille (coffee still unscheduled), Keith Bowen, Sarah Williams-Habibi, Victor Lee, Christine Bywater, Dan Schwartz
  • Reuben likely attending via Zoom (remote)
