Framing reminder: This is low-pressure development work between you and Josh — not bonus-tied, tight iteration cadence (his words, May 14). When you felt lost last time, he met you there and reframed it. You don’t need to walk in with everything solved. You need to walk in knowing what you want from him.
The one anchor: GPS Goals 2026-27
Everything else is a check-in. This is the real conversation.
Where it stands: You have a solid DRAFT of the forward-looking plan — 4 goals, all operationalized (prep/2026-05-29-gps-goals-first-draft.md):
- Communication — a written piece every month; pull 4 out to external venues.
- Capacity — documented Studio Offerings Catalog (Spark→Build→Sharpen→Scale × the 3 C’s); write up 4 offerings.
- Reach — scale AI Flash Lab TTT: ~25 facilitators → ~100 workshops → ~5,000 educators; ISTE + Latvia plug into one pipeline.
- Wellness — keep the sustainable routines through a heavier travel/delivery year.
The gap (why you might feel lost): The Jun 30 GPS deadline passed while you were OOO at ISTE. So the open question isn’t “are the goals good” — they’re good. It’s “what’s the submit posture now?”
What to ask Josh (pick the ones that matter):
- Deadline landed during my OOO — do you want this submitted as-is, or is there a revised timeline?
- Two docs were the plan (retrospective narrative + forward plan). Forward plan is drafted. Do you still want the retrospective GPS narrative, or has that been overtaken?
- You offered a “sacrificial first draft” of the R-framework narrative back in May — did that ever land, or should I just run with what I have?
- Any goal you’d push on? (Reach at 5,000 is the ambitious one — is that the right number given ISTE isn’t signed yet?)
Your posture: You’re not behind — you delivered ISTE and kept the goals moving. You just need a clear “here’s what done looks like and by when.”
Live items to touch (fast — 2 min each)
- Latvia service agreement — Greg drafted the Agreement for Professional Services, Karin OK’d sending up, you added notes / Josh added notes for Isabelle → now with Isabelle + Olivia to sign. Ask: anything you still need to add before Olivia signs? Confirm the Aug + Oct delivery + timeboxed handoff is captured. (This is going well — name that.)
- AI Learning Day (Jul 28/29) — you co-lead the Flash Lab segments. Planning happened Jul 7; build-out list is filed. Ask: how do you two want to divide the build (speaking notes, nutrition-label materials, capture instrument, gallery/flash-lab prompts)? Confirm the reflective / human-voice framing he liked.
- Q2 logic-model quarterly review — Q2 closed; the framework says revisit quarterly. Flag it: “good time to do the quarterly logic-model pass.”
- Greg/Karen MOU (separate from Latvia) — still drafting; you’ll send to Josh to review before it goes to Greg. Just a heads-up it’s coming.
Optional / only if there’s room
- Expenses — June reports sent to Moraima; ~$799 Dev Day registration still outstanding on her side. Non-issue unless he asks.
- ISTE debrief → facilitation scaffolding — the “role-clarity briefing doc + start-of-workshop assessment” idea from the ISTE debrief. Ties directly to Goal 3’s quality controls.
If you only remember three things
- GPS goals: ask what “submitted / done” looks like and by when — the draft is good, you just need the finish line.
- Latvia is going well — name it, confirm nothing’s needed from you before Olivia signs.
- AI Learning Day: split the build with Josh so you’re not carrying it solo.
